After spending nearly two decades building a career inside Fortune 500 companies, Martin found himself confronting the “golden handcuffs.”
He had a successful career, but promotions weren’t giving him more freedom. In fact, greater responsibility meant even less time with his growing family.
Then two major life events changed his perspective.
His wife told him they were expecting twins, and only six weeks after their daughters were born, Martin’s father passed away.
It forced him to reconsider where his life was heading.
Rather than immediately quitting his job, Martin began building his real estate investing knowledge and portfolio alongside his corporate career. What he initially thought would take three to five years ultimately allowed him to leave corporate in approximately 18 months.
